Fast And Fancy Party Food - Nancy's Appetizers Review With Giveaway

Did you ever go out and see those fancy looking cold appetizers that are all rolled up and colorful? I have never even attempted making something like that because they look like they’d take a while to make and I just don’t have the time. Recently I got to try some gourmet frozen appetizers that look just like those you see at a restaurant.

Nancy’s Appetizers are bite sized frozen gourmet appetizers created by San Francisco area entertainer Nancy Mueller. She used to serve them because they were tasty and kept an appealing look throughout a whole party. Currently the appetizer product line includes Petite Quiche, Deli Spirals, Mushroom Turnovers and Seafood Crab Cakes. Nancy’s also offers a line of Entrees that includes Quiche Broccoli Cheddar, Quiche Cheese Trio, Quiche Florentine and Quiche Lorraine. There is also a line of desserts including Petite Tarts Chocolate, Petite Tarts Pecan and Petite Tarts Combo.

We sampled the Petite Quiche and the Deli Spirals. The Deli Spirals were neat, they’re tiny, fancy sandwiches. We made these one afternoon while we were watching a movie. I liked that there are three varieties in one box, assuring something for everyone. RB’s favorite was the Club while mine was the Salami & Jack. The Deli Spirals are intended to be as easy to prepare as it gets – just defrost them. Word to the wise, we tried the quick defrost method and found that the Deli Spirals hadn’t thawed enough. Another night we had the Petite Quiche for dinner. RB loved these. The Petite Quiche are easy to make, just put them in the oven and bake and they’re ready in under 20 minutes. We got a big box that had half Four Cheese Quiche and half Quiche Lorraine. RB liked both but his favorite was the Quiche Lorraine.

Nancy’s frozen appetizers retail for between $4 and $13 per package depending on which variety and size package you are buying. They are available in grocery and club stores nationwide. Go to www.nancys.com for tips and recipes or to find the store that carries them in your area.
