Don’t you hate the smell of garbage? It’s gross. What’s just as bad is the smell of scented trash bags in the kitchen. The only smell I like in my kitchen is that of food cooking. Not garbage. Not flowers. If they made a crockpot smelling trash bag I might consider it. Until then we use unscented bags in the kitchen. We’ve been using Hefty Kitchen Bags With Unscented Odor Block Technology in the kitchen since late October.
Hefty With Unscented Odor Block Technology does a fantastic job at neutralizing odors and keeping them in the trash can and not wafting around the kitchen. Not only doesn’t it let smell out or add smell, it actually holds up and holds the trash like it’s supposed to. (Remember the old Hefty commercial – wimpy, wimpy, wimpy. hefty, Hefty, Hefty.) This bag has a drawstring, which I like because they’re easier to close than the ones without. They’re sturdy. Every generic bag I’ve ever bought tore or ripped. Nothing worse than walking across your house with a trash bag full of dirty cat box litter and having it break in the middle of the living room. I haven’t had any major problems with Hefty breaking on me. I’m pleased with them to the point that I stopped thinking about them as a review product and just bought some more when the sample box I received ran out. (And then forgot to publish this review. Sorry Hefty, thanks for your patience. I may have been busy with day to day life but I wasn’t busy cleaning up cat litter from the living room carpet again and I truly thank you for that.)
Hefty Kitchen Bags with Unscented Odor Block Technology are available for purchase nationwide at most retailers.

The last box of Hefty Strong 30 gallon trash bags I purchased are supposedly unscented, yet they have a very strong scent. I don't buy scented trash bags, because the scents make me nauseous. No matter which scent. I love these trash bags, and buy them consistently. Although if they continue to have this strong scent, I will not be able to purchase them any longer. Even with a bad head cold, the scent makes me nauseous every time I walk past it. Even with a lid on the trash can it's so overpowering.

I received one of these as a sample in the mail, and was impressed. Most "odor-blocking" bags have a noxious odor themselves, but these didn't.

That's great to know. We use the Costco store brand and are always ready to throw an extra around it in case it leaks! Gotta try these!

My husband and I are very sensitive to artificial fragrances--we can not tolerate them in our home. We accidently picked up some scented trash bags one time and had to throw them out.
Do these bags have any "chemical" scent to them? If not, I think they would work for us.

I HATE these bags!!! The "Odor Block" is NOT unscented!! It makes me naseaus and gives me a an instant headache!!! I am very sesitive to scents as well, so maybe that is why. But i have to hold my breath to put it in the can and then leave the room till the smell goes away. I like Hefty, i just don't like the Odor Block.
