The enjoyment of suspense, fear and all things frightful is enjoyed by many young adults and adults alike. These four books are just some of the many books offered on Harper Collins Publishers. The books I am sharing are for ages 14 and up unless otherwise noted.

Catacomb by Madeleine Roux – $17.99 Hardcover

This book is the final of the New York Times bestselling Asylum series (Asylum and Sanctum the first two books). This series is perfect for fans of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

Catacomb is a story that tells about Dan, Jordan, and Abby while they take a road trip to New Orleans. Here they will encounter a mysterious group of robbers. But they aren’t your normal robbers, these are grave robbers. And what makes this even more creepy is what they use the stolen bones for.

Midnight Dolls by Kiki Sullivan – $9.99 (ages 13+)

Another interesting book that will most likely attract your Pretty Little Liars fans crossed with Beautiful Creatures. This book is a gripping follow-up to Kiki Sullivan’s THE DOLLS. A steamy Southern Soap opera about a group of the age old powerful teen voodoo queens.

And as the revelations about her past continue to unfold, Eveny begins to realize that she might just be the only one who can save them all.

The Tattooed Heart: A Messenger of Fear Novel by Michael Grant – $17.99

Continue the games in this New York Times bestselling author Michael Grant’s sequel to Messenger of Fear—a hauntingly eerie tale for fans of Stephen King that brings together fantasy with real-world horror stories.

This book of Michael Grant’s is another haunting tale about the Messenger of Fear and his apprentice Mara. You will enjoy this tale with a nice twist of terror.

This Monstrous Thing by Mackenzi Lee – $17.99 (Ages 13+)

This book is a creative Gothic fantasy which is the retelling of Frankenstein.

With few places to turn for help, the dangers may ultimately bring the brothers together—or ruin them forever. This is one book you will not want to miss if you enjoyed Frankenstein. It is a great combination of fantasy, history, and classic literature all lumped into one great book.
