REVIEW – Adventure Time Season 5 Blu-ray

Adventure Time’s Complete 5th season is out on DVD and Blu-ray. Packed with all 52 episodes it is perfect for the Adventure Time fanatic’s collection. Cartoon Network is the home of the pop culture phenomenon being a network top-rated Peabody Award®-winning show.

You will enjoy continuing the adventure with the two unlikeliest heroes Jake (the dog) and Finn (the human). Season 5 aired in late 2012 and since has continued with Season 6 and 7. Recently it has been renewed for Season 8.

In Season 5 there are 15 major characters, with 3 minor character. The first episode was “Finn the Human” which originally aired 11/12/12. Finn and Jake chase the Lich through a dimensional portal where they meet Prismo, who tells them that the Lich wished for the extinction of all life. This leads Finn to wish that the Lich “never even ever existed and the creation of the Farmworld reality.

The Lich is (formerly named the Lich King and “His Hero,” and referred to as Sweet Pig Trunks in his baby form, or just Sweet P for short) is a powerful undead being and a major adversary in Adventure Time.

Prismo is a Wish Master who is the manifestation of an old man’s dream. First mentioned in “The Lich,” he plays a major role in the episodes “Finn the Human,” “Jake the Dog” and “Is That You?” So you will see him quite a bit early on. He resides in the Time Room, which is found in the center of the multiverse. Booko describes him as “almighty.” Prismo is apparently good friends with a number of cosmic-level characters in the Adventure Time universe, including the Cosmic Owl, Party God, Death, and Grob Gob Glob Grod, all of whom were seen at one of his Time Room parties.

The show itself consists of being able to go into different dimensions and you guessed it adventures as they keep you guessing what the next big event they will be a part of. I have enjoyed Jake and Finn’s characters, although this type of show isn’t one I thought I would get interested in. I am glad that I have experienced it.

One of my favorite episodes was “Bad Boy”, I enjoyed Neil Patrick Harris guest starring as one gender swapped characters.
