Before we know it, school will be back in session. With my first born starting school this coming fall, that time will come faster than I’d like. What better way to prepare and get my daughter excited for her first day, than a fun array of books from HarperCollins Children’s line.

As a little girl, I loved reading. I loved it so much that I’d visit the library at least once a week. I’d even be difficult to get up in the morning due to staying up very late reading. My love of reading and the feeling of a book between my hands has not changed. Now, the best part is being able to share that love with my children.

Some new titles I’d like to tell you about are:

• The Big Ideas of Buster Bickles written and illustrated by Dave Wasson
  Buster Bickles’s big ideas are always getting him into trouble. But when Buster gets to test the newly invented What-if Machine, anything Buster imagines becomes reality. Packed with rivers of chocolate, robot dinosaurs, and eggs-ray vision, the world becomes Buster’s creation in this fantastically creative picture book.

• Freddy & Frito and the Clubhouse Rules written and illustrated by Alison Friend
  Freddy and Frito play together every day—sometimes at Frito’s and sometimes at Freddy’s. But there are rules. Rules aren’t fun! So what do these best buddies do? They build their own clubhouse in a tree in the park! With no rules, there’s plenty of fun—until all of their friends come by for a party, and suddenly Freddy and Frito wish for a way to make them all leave!

• Eva and Sadie and the Best Classroom EVER! written by Jeff Cohen, illustrated by Elanna Allen

• B. Bear and Lolly: Catch That Cookie written by A. A. Livingston, illustrated by Joey Chou
  Best friends B.
