Recently I received the opportunity to try some St. Ives products. I’ve heard the name St Ives for years but never really knew much about them. St. Ives uses 100% natural moisturizers and exfoliants in all of their products. They do not use parabens, which are chemically produced preservatives. I must admit, as soon as I opened the box they arrived in I was excited, because I smelled good things. I love yummy smelling things, especially when they’re fruit based.
Body wash is my preference for the shower, I will choose it over soap every single time. The Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash has a clean and gentle smell. It doesn’t require a lot to create a nice full lather. I’ve been using it with a pouf and love it. My son has very dry legs, and I’ve noticed that they are improving since we started using this. He has had some sensitivity issues with detergents and the like in the past so I appreciate that the dermatologist tested formula is hypoallergenic.
When you put the Fresh Skin Apricot Cleanser on your face it goes on feeling a little sandy or gritty, which is the 100% natural exfoliants at work. You put it onto your face and rub it in. When you rinse it off the dead skin and dirt from your pores leave with it. It has a very subtle apricot scent. This dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic product is designed to gently remove dirt from your pores.
The Blemish Control Apricot Scrub turns out to be America’s #1 Scrub brand, based on 52-week unit sales ending 03/15/2014. That’s a pretty impressive title to have, considering how many products are out there. I don’t often have breakouts so I can’t say that it helped control them. But I can say that I noticed less blackheads and that my pores didn’t seem as aggravated as they have at times in the past. I like the sort rough feel when I use it , I find it invigorating.  The great scent of the scrub surely comes from the apricot and walnuts that it’s made with. The hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested product is oil-free and contains 2% salicylic acid
The Naturally Indulgent Coconut Milk & Orchid Extract Fresh Hydration Lotion is actually a continuous spray lotion. The dermatologist tested formula is made with coconut milk, orchid flower extract and 100% natural moisturizers like glycerin and shea butter The spray is neat! It makes it effortless to apply product, just spray it and then rub it in. I like it because you don’t have to “work” it in like most lotions. I thought it would feel oily but it isn’t greasy at all.
The 24 Hour Deep Restoring Body Lotion is designed to relieve dryness and restore the skin and help it retain moisture. The hypoallergenic formula is dermatologist tested and formulated without parabens. I noticed after using it on my son’s knees and legs that not only did they feel nicer after applying, but also after a couple of hours went by, whereas some other products seem to have their effect wear off almost immediately. The lotion has a really nice almost tropical scent that likely comes from the rich shea butter and soothing almond oil.
The Skin Renewing Collagen Elastin Body Lotion is designed to help restore “old” looking dry skin so that it feels soft and smooth once again. The hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested formula is made with 100% Natural Moisturizers like vegetable glycerin and soy bean oil, Collagen Elastin. I haven’t used this product, I actually put it aside for mu Mom to try, I thought she might like it.
