Last week I had the pleasure of going out to the Worlds Fair Grounds in Queens, New York for the celebration of Ford Mustang’s 50th birthday. I could have stayed there for days, maybe even weeks, looking at all of those gorgeous cars. There were over 100 Mustangs there, each one more beautiful then the last. Please join me in celebrating Mustang’s 50th birthday with a slideshow. For today, I give you models from Mustang’s first 49 years. (I’m saving the 2015 Mustang, the 50th anniversary model, for another post.) The slideshow contains pictures of some of the most beautiful, bad ass cars in the world, set to one of my favorite songs by the best band out there, Oleander. There’s been a connection between Mustang and Oleander in my life for years, so there was no question in my mind what music I wanted playing in this slideshow.
Thanks to Ford for bringing me out to New York to celebrate Mustang’s 50th birthday.
Thanks to Oleander for giving me permission to use the song “Never Too Late”. Much love and gratitude.

I love the old Mustangs and I love the old Cougars. Partly it’s because my favorite Matchbox cars were that style. lol

The scratches were a little more difficult. Some of them were pretty deep. I sanded as much as I could, but I would have had to sand a lot of the wood away if I was going to get it as smooth as possible. I left it like this and thought it would work out okay.

My husbands favorite car of all time is a classic Mustang. They are just gorgeous cars.

That is one incredibly sexy car. I'd love to drive that baby.
