We love lasagna. I make a few different types of it. One that we enjoy only requires minor alterations to the one I make most often. Basically I swap out some of the mozz for cheddar and then add bacon. It’s just a slightly different flavor but still a food we really enjoy. Here’s how I made it.
Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna
INGREDIENTS
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded bacon
- 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 24-32 oz ricotta cheese
- 24 oz red pasta sauce (I used Barilla bacon & cheese sauce)
- 9 pieces no-boil lasagna
- salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 f.
Brown the ground beef.
Add the bacon, 4 oz of the shredded cheddar and about 1/4 of the sauce and stir well.
Place a thin layer of sauce in the bottom of the baking pan.
Lay down 3 lasagna noodles.
Place the beef mixture on top of the noodles.

I'd swap the cheddar for some provolone or mazzarella.

I love eating lasagna and making it using a family recipe that we have enjoyed for years. This is adding a new and delicious element to it.
