
Shepherd’s Pie. So warming, filling and comforting. I wanted to try and put the flavor of one of our favorite dishes into a soup. It was really simple, and we were all really pleased with the results. Here’s how I made it.
Slowcooker Sausage And Beef Shepherds Pie Soup
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground sweet Italian sausage
- 32 oz diced frozen hash browns
- 4 beef boullion cubes (I use large, soft ones from BJ’s whose instructions call for 2 cups of water)
- 4 cups water
- 8 oz shredded triple cheddar cheese
- 10 oz steamable mixed vegetables
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Set Ninja to stovetop high.
Brown the ground beef and the ground Italian sausage.
Set Ninja to crockpot high.
Add 32 oz diced frozen hash browns.
Add 4 beef boullion cubes, 4 cups of hot water, onion powder and garlic powder.
Stir well.
Cook for 1 hour.
Add 8 oz shredded triple cheddar.
Add 10 oz steamable mixed veg.
Cook for 1 hour.
Serve immediately with salt and pepper to taste.
