The other night I wanted to make pierogies. Usually we’re pretty traditional with them and serve them with butter. This time I wanted to do something a little different. I decided to make Bacon Cheeseburger Pierogies. It was super easy to make, basically all that’s involved is using the stove and stirring. I didn’t think to put shredded cheese on top until after I’d used all the cheese the first time I made this. It tastes better and looks a little nicer with the cheese on top as well as in the dish.

INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 2x 13 oz packages frozen pierogies (I used a sour cream & cheddar variety)
- 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 oz jar beef gravy
- 2 tbsp shredded bacon
INSTRUCTIONS
Boil the pierogies.
While pierogies are boiling, brown the ground beef.
Drain the pierogies and put them back in the pot.
Pour half of the gravy over the pierogies and stir well.
Add the beef and the bacon.
Stir well.
Add 2-3 oz of the shredded cheese.
Stir well.
Add the remainder of the gravy.
Stir well over low heat for a few minutes.
Remove from heat and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Serve immediately.
