SYNOPSIS
When the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit Flynn Rider (voice of ZACHARY LEVI) hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of MANDY MOORE), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower she’s been locked away in for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief, and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with asuper-cop horse, an overprotective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. Tangled is a story of adventure, heart, humor and hair—lots of hair.

· Untangled: The Making of a Fairy Tale – Exactly how long is Rapunzel’s hair? How many lanterns were used? Where did Pascal’s name come from? Which Disney animated feature first utilized CG animation? These and more will be answered when Mandy Moore and Zach Levi take viewers on a kooky behind-the-scenes tour to learn how the filmmakers styled this film’s “Golden Tresses.”
· Deleted Scenes – Co-directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno introduce three scenes and illuminate why they were ultimately cut.

MY THOUGHTS
While Tangled is the 50th full-length animated feature from The Walt Disney Studios, it turns out that this movie is many years in the making. Walt Disney started thinking of how to bring the well known fable of Rapunzel to the screen back in the 1970s. I know he would have done a great job had the movie come out earlier but by having it take this long we’re able to benefit from the technology that gives this movie such beautiful color, graphics and animation. I loved this movie in the theater and loved watching it at home just as much. One thing that really caught my eye about Tangled is the faces – there are some great facial expressions, both human (Rapunzel, Flynn, Mother Gothel and the characters in the pub) and animal (Maximus and Pascal), in this movie. The bonus features included with this movie are as good as the movie itself. I really enjoyed seeing the deleted scenes and hearing why they were cut. The Untangled section was interesting, it shows some of the problems you might encounter when trying to direct 70 feet of animated hair. The Tangled teasers were funny. If you’re a Disney movie buff the 50th Animated Feature Countdown is just for you – see if you can name them all before the time is up! I recommend this movie highly, it’s fun for the whole family! Here comes the smolder! Tangled will appear in stores tomorrow, be sure to pick up your copy. You’ll love it!
