MY THOUGHTS

I received a copy of Ice Cream Happy Hour. The compact paperback book has flaps that are perfect for bookmarking a favorite recipe. Chapters include Boozy Ice Creams, 80-Proof Specialties, Cocktails On A Cone, Tropical Treats By The Scoop, Spiked Sorbets And Sherbets, and Tipsy Sundaes And Floats. The beginning of the cookbook shows the reader the basic technique on how to spike ice cream, with step-by-step photos. The recipes are all very clear and easy to understand. The colorful photos scattered through the book are nice but I wish there was one for each recipe so I could envision what the final result is supposed to look like before starting to make it. Recipes I’d like to try include Strawberry With Vodka, Cookies And Cream With Vodka, Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada, Cape Cod, Raspberry Bellini, Vodka Watermelon Sorbet, and Sex On The Beach Rainbow Sherbet. This mini cookbook would be a great gift for anyone that enjoys entertaining as well as those who enjoy ice cream.
