Ingredients

  • 24 unwrapped peppermint kisses
  • 1 cup godiva milk chocolate chips, melted
  • 2/3 cup Hershey cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cups unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

Peppermint Thumbprint Cookies Recipe

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a standing mixer, cream butter & both sugars until light and fluffy

Add the eggs one at a time and mix until incorporated.

Add in the peppermint extract and mix.

Place the flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and baking soda into a large mixing bowl and combine with a whisk.

Gradually add 1/2 cup of the dry mixture to the butter mixture and mix until combined.

Using a small ice cream scoop, scoop some dough into your hands and roll it into a ball.

Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Press one peppermint kiss into the top of each cookie.

Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cookies.

Let the cookies cool for about 10 minutes before enjoying.

    Ohhh these look yummy! I don't think I've ever made thumbprint cookies myself before, but these look good and I may need to try them!
