I was trying to think of different kinds of pies this week. I wanted something easy to make but something different. I found myself thinking of some of my favorite entrees, and decided it would be fun to turn one of those into a pie. I love Chicken Broccoli Alfredo. So I decided to make a Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pie. This recipe has flavor like that of the pasta dish I love but doesn’t have the pasta. We enjoyed it tremendously. Hubby took it some to work and they loved it. I’ll definitely be making this one again. Here’s how I made it.
Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pie
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken breast
- 2x refrigerated pie crusts
- 1x 16 oz jar Ragu Light Parmesan Alfredo Sauce
- 1x 10 oz box frozen chopped broccoli
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp parsley
- 1/2 tsp butter (softened) or spread
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 f.
Brown the chicken breast.
While the chicken breast is cooking, thaw the frozen broccoli. I microwaved it for 3 minutes.
Place one pie crust into the bottom of a pie plate.
Mix the cooked chicken with half of the jar of sauce.
Place the chicken mixture into the pie plate.
Mix the broccoli with the other half of the jar of sauce.
Place the broccoli mixture on top of the layer of chicken.
Place the second pie crust on top and seal it by pinching the whole way around.
Spread (I actually rub it, it’s easier) the butter over the entire top crust.
Sprinkle the onion powder, garlic powder and parsley on the crust.
Bake 20-25 minutes.
Serve immediately.

I'm not big on pot pies or meat pies (never even tried them) but this pie looks delicious. Could easily become a new favorite of mine :)
