We’ve made chicken fried steak before, using cube steak. That’s the only thing we’ve ever done with it until now. Cube steak was on sale and I decided it would be fun to try and make something with it. The end result is a quick and easy meal that is sort of like a salisbury steak in french onion gravy. Check it out.

Cube Steak Ingredients

  • 1 – 1.5 pounds Cube steaks
  • Bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cans French onion soup
  • 1/2 can water

Cube Steak Uncooked

Beat eggs in a small bowl or dish.

Pour bread crumbs into a dish big enough to dredge the beef. Another alternative is to pour the bread crumbs into a large Ziploc.

Dip cube steaks in egg mix and then bread crumbs.

Place in large baking or lasagna type pan.

Spoon onion soup over cube steaks and add water.

Cover pan with foil and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

About fifteen minutes before the meat is cooked make pasta or rice to serve the meat over. Egg noodles work well.
