Skylanders - Showing the Love All Day Long

Johnny goes to a private school and there is little that he can do to show his personality. One thing he can do is pick out a backpack that shows what he loves and Johnny loves Skylanders. He has been a fan for several years; since the first game came out, he has been playing. Johnny was trying to determine what he wanted to bring this year when a surprise arrived.

Skylanders backpack

He was super excited when the new 16″ Skylanders backpack arrived at our house because he wanted to be able to show off his love of Skylanders with his friends. He used his backpack and wore it with pride for about two weeks. All of his friends loved it and he received several compliments on it. He had a great time talking up the game and his favorite backpack. I do feel I should mention that the backpack zipper broke a few weeks into using it. While this is a downside for Johnny, I don’t think it would happen with a younger child that didn’t carry as many books back and forth from school to home. Johnny has at least 1 big, but sometimes 2 or 3, textbooks a day. It certainly won’t turn us off on these fun backpacks in the future. We just won’t use them for school anymore! The backpack retails for $19.99 and is available at Toys“R”Us.

Skylanders Thermos

Johnny has been able to share his love of Skylanders even more at school this year thanks to the 10 oz Skylanders Thermos we received. Perfect for hot or cold foods, it is great to have in our lunch supplies. Johnny can bring his snack of cheese in it without worry of the cheese melting. He can bring a cup of soup this fall and winter without fear of it getting cold. The container  keeps contents cold for up to 7 hours and hot for up to 5 hours with a stay-cool exterior. The thermos has so many great uses that I am sure we will be using it all year long. That means that Johnny gets to talk up Skylanders at the lunch table too! The Thermos retails for $15.99 and is available at Toys“R”Us.

Skylanders shirt

The real fun begins when Johnny gets home from school and can remove his uniform to put on clothes that he wants to wear. Johnny has several tee shirts but his new favorite is his Skylanders shirt. This 100% cotton has been washed several times and still looks great. There has been no fading or wear on the image. It looks as good as the day we got it. Johnny wears his shirt to hang out often and it has become the talk of him and his friends on a number of occasions. This shirt retails for between $11 and $14 and is available at Target, JCP and The Children’s

If you have a Skylanders fan, you will want to get your own Skylanders gear! There are so many different items to choose from; from lunch bags to book bags, from tee shirts to jackets. You can even find some bedding for the Skylanders fan in your household. Be sure to give them a look for the holiday season too!:

Which of these items do you think your young Skylanders fan would enjoy the most?

Our school requires uniforms so fun touches like a character backpack and cool lunch gear are extra important. I know my 7yr old son would go crazy for these items!

That thermos is pretty cool. I can see my girls carrying soup/etc. in it!

What a cutie pie! My son loves Skylanders too. It’s a recent development, I think because his friends do and were exctited to tell him about them. Now he’s asking for a starter kit for Christmas. Yes… the Christmas lists have begun. 😉
