Salted Caramel Chocolate Chunk Cookies
This recipe makes 2 dozen cookies.

- stand mixer OR hand mixer and large mixing bowl
- cookie sheet
- parchment paper
- medium ice cream scoop
- small glass mixing bowl
- measuring cup
- measuring spoons
- cooling rack
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups dark chocolate chunks
- 1 1/2 cups caramel baking pieces
- flaked sea salt for topping
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the flour and baking soda into a small mixing bowl and whisk until combined.
Use a mixer to beat the butter and both sugars until creamy.
Beat the vanilla and the egg until combined.
With the mixer on low, gradually add the flour and mix just until the dough comes together.
Fold in 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chunks and 1 cup of caramel baking pieces.
Place the dough and the mixing bowl in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Scoop the dough onto the baking sheet using a medium ice cream scoop.
Bake for 13-15 minutes or until lightly brown.
Sprinkle some sea salt onto the top of the cookies.
Allow to cool off for a few minutes on a cooling rack before removing the cookies from the cookie sheet and baking the rest of the dough.
Serve and enjoy!
