The terrific folks at Mom Select were nice enough to send me a virtual swag box from BlogHer 08. One of the things in the box was a sample of Glow Mama, a drink made especially for mothers and mothers to be. GlowMama is endorsed by the American Pregnancy Association. It contains numerous antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. It’s a caffeine free beverage that contains no artificial sweeteners, colors or preservatives. The drink is made from kiwi and white grape juice.
My sister in law, who is expecting her first child shortly, stopped by last night and we had an impromptu taste test. We both agreed that Glow Mama had a subtle flavor, not strong like a juice but not like flavored water either. The only way we could describe it is as similar to the taste of watered down juice, which is something I’ve done many times. The drink has a light golden color. We both thought it tasted ok at room temperature, and like it much better served cold over ice.
You can visit Glow Mama online at drinktoglow.com. Their website contains mocktail recipes, as well as detailed information about the drink. Glow Mama can be purchased online from their website as well as in select stores in the San Francisco Bay area.
