Chips Ahoy! are one of everyone’s favorite cookies, don’t you agree? They’ve been around forever and still taste good. Recently I got to try a couple of new Chips Ahoy! products – a new Chips Ahoy cookie and a new Breyers ice cream flavor.
Chips Ahoy! American Summer cookies are like regular Chips Ahoy! cookies but the chips are red, white and blue. The cookies will only be available for the summer as a limited edition product.
Breyers recently came out with several varieties of ice cream called Breyers Blasts. One of the flavors is Chips Ahoy!. This ice cream is a vanilla ice cream with pieces of Chips Ahoy! cookies in it. We really liked this ice cream, it had plenty of cookie chunks in the creamy vanilla. It’s great with a little chocolate sauce over it!
Last, but not least, here’s a recipe for a homemade ice cream sandwich, courtesy of Kraft. You can make it as instructed or if you’re really into Chips Ahoy!, substitute the Breyers Blast ice cream for the vanilla.

- 24 CHIPS AHOY! Cookies

ROLL edges in sprinkles.
FREEZE 1 to 2 hours or until firm.
Kraft Kitchens Tips
Sweets can be part of a balanced diet but remember to keep tabs on portions.
Prepare using your favorite flavor of ice cream, sherbet or frozen yogurt. And for a change of pace, roll edges in chopped PLANTERS Nuts, colored sprinkles, chocolate chips or toasted BAKER’S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut instead of the sprinkles.
These cool treats are perfect for making ahead of time. Simply prepare as directed, wrap in plastic wrap and store in freezer for up to 1 month.
