When you think of Sunday dinners, what type of food do you think of? I don’t come from a huge family, and I’m not Italian. Nevertheless, when I thought about my favorite Sunday dinner meals and memories, I realized that they all involved pasta. Pasta is truly one of my favorite foods. I just love it! There are so many types, and you can do an endless amount of things with it. Cold pasta dishes are fine and have their place. Hot pasta right from the pot or oven – now we’re talking! The thought of the yummy taste of gooey cheeses, meats, seasonings, vegetables, all of them getting happy with pasta, well it just makes this girl smile. In celebration of great Sunday dinners past and future I’ve created a collection of pasta recipes on Foodie. Check em out! If you see one you simply must try just click where it says visit this collection for the recipe.

Were you drooling watching the photos of all of those tasty pasta dishes go by in the slideshow? I know I was! Which one would you eat first? I can’t pick just one to eat first, give me a buffet table with all of them and I’ll be good to go! I did include a couple of my own dishes in there (the chicken bacon and cheese lasagna roll-ups, crockpot lasagna, homemade stuffed shells and turkey club casserole) but even if they weren’t in there I’d still be looking for a big table and a fork.

What’s your favorite pasta dish or recipe? I’d really love to know, please leave a comment!

Growing up in an Italian family, we ALWAYS had some form of pasta for Sunday dinner. Usually it was something simple like lasagna, but every once in a while we would have homemade raviolis and that was always such a big treat!

Thanks for including our recipe, Val! I love hazelnuts but don’t regularly cook spinach greens but this was really good. Hopefully you’ll try it and hopefully both you and DH will like it!

My favorite pasta dish is simple – pasta and tomatoes. I could eat it every single night. My oldest would love the lasagna rolls, he is my biggest bacon fan.

I also enjoy pasta. I think my favorite pasta dish has to be homemade lasagna. I love beef lasagna, but veggie lasagna is really tasty too.

Sunday was our day to eat out growing up. Now as an adult I don’t have a set routine like that. I find I’m more apt to be lazy and eat junk food. Lol.

Using pasta is such a great way to make a meal. I really like making ravioli, while my son like mac and cheese.

We love pasta and if we could eat it everyday we probably would. I have to find some new recipes to try especially since pasta is so easy to make.
