Old El Paso Logo

My son isn’t able to eat a lot of things as he has Celiac Disease, an intolerance to gluten (something found in seeming almost everything). It can be hard when one member of the family wants something they’ve seen or had somewhere else. Fortunately for us, there are a few products that are naturally gluten-free, plus there are brands adding gluten-free items to their product offerings.

Old El Paso has several gluten-free items, one of which is their hard corn taco shells. We use those on family taco night because they’re gluten-free and safe. Family taco nights can be a lot of fun because you can serve one item and let everyone make it the way they want. CJ and I like ours with ground beef, cheese and tomatoes. RB likes his loaded with veggies. TJ prefers just beef. You can even change things up by using taco shells, seasoning mix, taco sauce and battered fish fillets to make Easy Fish Tacos. There are lots of Old El Paso products to try. They’re all affordable and there are a whole bunch of them including chilies, dinner kits, dips and sides, enchilada sauce, refried beans, seasoning mixes, shells, taco sauce and salsa.

Another great thing about Old El Paso products is that you can use them as ingredients in your own recipes. Two that I’ve created are valmg’s Cream Cheesy Tomato And Taco Dip and valmg’s Gluten-free Taco Beef Rice Crockpot Casserole.

SAVE WITH A COUPON! Download a printable coupon for $0.60 off any two Old El Paso products today!

After dinner be sure to check out El Tacodor, the world´s only family taco night game. With El Tacodor, your family can share a special night at home by challenging one another to quick fire trivia, wordplay and pantomime. Visit www.ElTacodor.com today to download instructions, a score card, and a challenge sheet for even more fun on Family Taco Night!

We don’t eat a lot of tacos, but we LOVE taco salad in our house, and I always add either kidney beans or black beans (sometimes both!) to the mixture, as well as fat-free refried beans – those, especially, make the mixture nice and creamy. It’s yummy!
