Key West Aloe

Seems like we skipped right over spring and into summer as the temps here in Ohio today are in the high 80s! With the frigid cold winter we had here in Ohio, I gladly welcome the much warmer temperatures! Nothing reminds me more of summer than the tropical smell of coconut. It has always been my favorite. Key West Aloe sent two of their products to try – the Coconut Salt Scrub and the Moisturizing Lotion. With the cold winter, my skin desperately needed some TLC!

Key West Aloe was founded in 1971 in you guessed it….Key West, Florida. All their products contain aloe as their primary ingredient. They use 100% lab certified Aloe Vera.

“While we were founded in Key West, and enjoy the laid back lifestyle, we take the science of skincare seriously. For us, Aloe is not just a label claim, but a cosmetically active base, to which we add thoroughly researched, scientifically proven ingredients to produce high performing personal care products. “

I have never used a salt scrub before and was really excited to try it out. I opened up the tub of the coconut salt scrub and was whisked away to the tropics! It smells SOOOO good! It works even better than it smells. It left my skin really soft and smooth. Their salt scrub is made with Dead Sea Salt which has some great benefits for your skin. Their scrubs also contain, aloe, sunflower oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, mango butter, Shea butter and cocoa butter. To use the salt scrub make sure you mix it well and massage on to wet skin.

After I scrubbed off all my dry skin, I moisturized with the Key West Aloe Moisturizing Lotion. AMAZING. The lotion smells great. It is not too sweet or over powering. It is a very light and tropical coconut scent. Containing 50% Aloe, it is really great for dry skin. It makes my skin really soft without that heavy, greasy feeling some lotions have. Quickly, Key West Aloe Lotion has become my go to. I have already used half of the tube!

Great products usually come with hefty price tags. I find the pricing of Key West Aloe product to be very reasonable. The 6oz tube of moisturizing lotion(which is the size I have) is $12.50. Their salt scrub is a little more and $25, but still very affordable. Key West Aloe is a wonderful treat for yourself or a loved one. They have wonderful gift sets, perfect for a nice relaxing at-home spa day!

I love the smell of coconut. I do prefer sugar scrubs to salt scrubs though – I used a salt scrub once when I had paper cuts and oooooh boy – did that sting

These products sound right up my alley. I love salt scrubs because they make my skin feel ALIVE. A good moisturizer is priceless as well. Thanks so much for sharing.
