The only game system that we don’t have is a PS3. My son begged me for one as soon as they came out. He kept asking for quite some time. Then he got an Xbox 360 for Christmas that he loves. We’ve got a Wii that he wandered away from and is now getting into again since we put it in the living room for the whole family to play. I haven’t heard much about the PS3 in a while. When I asked him about that he told me it was because he knew they were so expensive. Now I’ve learned that in the past few weeks it was announced that a lighter PS3 will be available at a lower price – $100 lower. That’s a lot! I’m guessing when TJ finds out that he’ll be campaigning for one for his birthday or Christmas. Do you have a PS3 in your house? Do you recommend it?

we have a PS3 ( the larger… more expensive one) We love it. Not only can you use it to play a wide variety of games but we don’t even use our DVD player anymore since the PS3 plays Blu-Ray. We love it and get a ton of use out of it. We don’t have any other game systems as this is the one that we know we would use the most. Fun for the whole family. My daughter and I love playing Little Big Planet and Ratchet and Clank. It it definitely worth the price especially now that it’s smaller.

Bering in a house of males, yes. Sony and most electronic manufacturers plpan for obsolescence–that’s why their new systems don’t use their “old” games.

Yes, we have a PS3 in our house. My son is too little to play it being that he is only two. My step-son loves it, when he is here to play it that is. My step-daughter is 20 and enjoys the racing games. And my husband loves it as well. We got it when it first came out and it was a lot of money. He would play for hours on the weekend. It definitely has paid for itself. I have to admit though, the $60 games, I am not a big fan of. I look for deals as often as I can. I do like that we can watch dvd’s on too. When we got it, it even came with a Blu-Ray dvd. The thing is, we don’t buy Blu-Ray dvd’s…they are way too expensive, compared to regular dvd’s. We also have a PS2…which is in our bedroom. It is played just as often as the PS3.
