When I found the 1 lb package of fresh mozz on sale for $3.49 I had to have it. And it’s 3 sibling packages as well. I just love cheese and mozz is my favorite. I had some thinly sliced chicken breast and knew I had the makings for some awesome chicken parm, one of my longtime favorite dishes. - Ninja Cooking System (I used the Ninja Cooking System With Auto-iQ)
- measuring spoons
- measuring cups
- large shallow bowls
- 1.25 lbs thinly sliced chicken breast
- 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 – 3/4 lb fresh mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cups marinara sauce
Turn the Ninja on and select the stovetop setting, then let it warm for about 5 minutes while you prepare the chicken.
Place the egg into a bowl and beat it lightly.
Place the bread crumbs into a different bowl.
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg, then dip it into the bread crumbs making sure that the whole piece is coated.
Place the olive oil into the pot.
Place the chicken into the pot and saute it until both sides of all pieces are golden brown.
Remove the chicken from the pot and add the sauce in.
Once the sauce starts to bubble add the chicken back into the pot.
Place slabs of the mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken.
Place the cover onto the pot and heat for about 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Serve immediately with your favorite pasta.
