Many folks like to wear a special color, piece of clothing or even outfit on Valentine’s Day. This heart eye frame craft is a great way to be creative and spend time with your kids. For the kids it’s a great way to express creativity and reinforce fine motor skills. The frame can be made in less than an hour. - piece of cereal box
- brown construction paper
- lead pencil
- 2 red pipe cleaners
- white glue
- red glitter
- paint brush
- small pointed scissors
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
Step 1. Cut a medium-sized heart on a piece of cereal box. This would depend on how big you want your frame would be.
Step 2. Using a lead pencil, trace the heart board on a piece of brown construction paper. Trace another one on the side of the first one and provide some space in between the two. The space in between would serve as the bridge of the eye frame.
Step 3. Draw a smaller version of the heart in the middle of each one. This should be identical to the bigger heart. The small heart hole will pave a way to the frame’s eye opening
Step 4. Cut the brown frame from the paper and make sure to have a bridge in between the two hearts.
Step 5. Cut the small hearts in the middle using small pointed scissors. This will create a hole in the frame now.
Step 9. Fold the temples of the frame into 90 degrees angle. Curve the free ends of the temple downwards to accommodate the shape of the ears.
The finished heart eye frame is a cute and fun way to celebrate the holiday. Have fun and Happy Valentine’s Day!
