Crockpot Chicken Ziti Recipe

For this recipe I used my new Crock-Pot “Browning” Slow Cooker.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb chicken
  • 1 lb ziti
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bacon
  • 2 cups ricotta
  • 28 oz diced tomatoes (basil garlic oregano seasoned)

INSTRUCTIONS

Cover chicken with water and boil chicken halfway.

Remove chicken, leaving about 2 cups of water in the crockpot.

Place ziti in the crockpot.

Cut chicken into chunks and place in crockpot.

Sprinkle bacon across crockpot evenly.

Place tomatoes in crockpot.

Cook on high for 2.5 hours

Crockpot Chicken Ziti Recipe

Add ricotta cheese to content of crockpot and mix well.

Cook for another 15 minutes.

Serve with salt and pepper to taste.

This looks perfect for busy nights at my house. I usually just do a regular baked ziti.

I don’t think I’ve cooked with ziti noodles before. I love easy crockpot recipes though. Thank you for sharing this one. I bet it tastes divine!

Val, is Ziti the same as Penne? Or two different noodles? Because I have never purchased a noodle called Ziti before. I have had it at Sbarro Pizza before 🙂
