Ever been in the mood for pound cake but not have enough of one of the ingredients to make it? There’s actually a way that you can make pound cake from a boxed cake mix. That’s right. Instead of spending two hours with butter, flour, sugar and other ingredients, you can make a pound cake in a lot less time with a lot fewer ingredients. And it will taste good too! I’ve been playing around with these for a couple of weeks. So far this one is one of my two favorites. It’s very moist and quite tasty. My Mom, who loves chocolate and bananas, loved it. She described it as “A hint of banana complimented with chocolate.  Sweet but not overly.” The great thing about this recipe is that it is so simple to make and very inexpensive too! Seriously. Wait until you see how easy it is. Here’s how I made it.

Thank you for linking with See Ya in the Gumbo…it’s good to have you stop by. I never knew pound cake could be made from a regular cake mix. You’ve won my son over with this chocolate banana combo. He chose your cake to feature when tonight’s party goes live.
