Ever been in the mood for pound cake but not have enough of one of the ingredients to make it? There’s actually a way that you can make pound cake from a boxed cake mix. That’s right. Instead of spending two hours with butter, flour, sugar and other ingredients, you can make a pound cake in a lot less time with a lot fewer ingredients. And it will taste good too! I’ve been playing around with these for a couple of weeks. So far this one is one of my two favorites. It’s very moist and quite tasty. My Mom, who loves chocolate and bananas, loved it. She described it as “A hint of banana complimented with chocolate. Sweet but not overly.” The great thing about this recipe is that it is so simple to make and very inexpensive too! Seriously. Wait until you see how easy it is. Here’s how I made it.
Chocolate Banana Pound Cake Recipe
- 1x box fudge marble boxed cake mix
- 1x 3.4 oz banana cream instant Jell-o Pudding
- 3x eggs
- 1x cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 350 f.
Combine cake mix (not the chocolate packet), pudding mix, milk, vegetable and eggs in large bowl and mix well.
Pour the mixture into a loaf pan, putting 3/4 – 1 cup of the mixture aside.
Mix the chocolate packet from the cake mix with the cake mixture you set aside.
Swirl that chocolate mixture through the cake in the loaf pan gently.
Bake for 35 minutes.
Serve and enjoy.
