Chicken parm is one of my favorite chicken dishes ever. It always has been. I make it a couple of different ways, depending on what sort of flavor I want. This is the one that I make most often. It’s simple and tasty and very easy to make. Here’s how I make it.
- 2 lb chicken tenderloins or boneless chicken breast
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 2 cups Italian bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 400 f.
Spray large casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Place thin layer of marinara sauce in bottom of casserole dish.
Place bread crumbs and spices into a medium sized shallow bowl and stir.
Place eggs (broken) into a second shallow bowl.
Dip chicken completely into egg and then place in bread crumbs, coating both sides.
Places breaded pieces of chicken into the casserole dish.
Pour remainder of the marinara sauce over the chicken, covering all of it.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese liberally across the pan.
Bake for 20 minutes, covered in foil.
Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
