What do you do when someone in the house is in the mood for garlic bread but you don’t have any bread? Improvise of course! My son was in the mood for garlic bread. (He and I are alike, we’re always in the mood for garlic bread.) It was almot midnight and I didn’t have any loaves of bread. But, I did have english muffins. Cooking hack!
The results made us smile. They were crunchy on the edges and top and sort of soft in the middle, just like we like our English muffins. But they were full of garlic bread goodness. They’re super easy to make. Here’s how I made them.
Cheesy Garlic English Muffins Recipe
Preheat the oven to 350 f.
Slice an English muffin in half (or open it if it’s pre-sliced.)
Butter both sides of the English muffin.
Sprinkle garlic powder across the muffin. Be as liberal as you like, if you really like garlic go a little heavier.
Sprinkle a little mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Serve immediately.

Toasted with jam and tea–quite British.
I love this idea, I often forget a loaf of french bread at the store and do this with sliced bread or even a tortilla! I’m hungry now, and I haven’t eaten lunch yet!
Oh yum. I love English Muffins. We usually eat them with a sausage patty on them.
Oh Yum these would be so good with spaghetti too!! I am going to have to try these.
I like peanut butter on my English muffins. Although cheesy bread of any kind is good stuff
Oh this looks so easy and delicious! Definitely a perfect sidedish!
