Cheddar Beef Egg Roll Recipe - From Val's Kitchen

I love trying to do different things with egg roll wrappers. I was cooking some ground beef and decided to try putting that into the wrappers. They were really easy to make, and made for a fun little handheld snack or meal. This makes 8 egg rolls. Here’s how I made them.

Cheddar Beef Egg Rolls


  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 lb ground ground beef
  • 6 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder


Preheat oven to 400 f.

Brown the ground beef.

Place the ricotta cheese into a medium sized bowl.

Add the Italian seasoning, onion powder and garlic powder to the ricotta cheese and mix well.

Add the ground beef to the bowl and mix well.

Place some of the beef mixture on top of the egg roll wrap.

You need to fold the egg roll. There are several ways to do it, so do whichever works best for you or the one on the package.

Place a little bit of olive oil onto the top of the egg roll using either a brush or your finger.

Bake for 11-12 minutes, until the egg roll is golden.

Serve immediately with marinara or other sauce.

Sounds good to me! I have never tried making anything with egg roll wrappers and this one sounds like a great one to try first. A couple of these would make the perfect dinner for me.

I have only ever had pork or shrimp egg rolls. Cheddar and beef sound super yummy!
