Remember recently I mentioned how I find meals to be one of the most expensive parts of travel, and that while on our family trip to Hershey, PA I was going to use Restaurant.com gift certificates for our meals?

“The only thing better than going out for a great meal, is getting a great deal.  Restaurant.com has been filling tables since 1999 and is the destination for dining whether you like to plan ahead or find a meal on the go.  Restaurant.com helps diners discover the perfect dining experience and boasts nearly 50,000 dining deals available every day, even on the weekends!  And, the deals are easy to use – present the certificate to the server on a mobile device, or print out a copy, and voilà – the savings will be deducted from your final bill.  Bon Appétit!”

Bridges Cafe at the Radisson, Camp Hill PA Restaurant Review

Once in the Hershey area we found ourselves needing dinner. Hubby and I wanted a real sit down meal, so we headed over to Bridges Cafe at the Radisson in Camp Hill PA for a later dinner. This area is close to Hershey as well as Harrisburg.

Upon entering the restaurant, which is inside the Radisson, we found ourselves in a clean and fairly quiet restaurant. We were greeted and seated immediately. We were given our choice of where to sit, we chose a table overlooking the pool and terrace. We ordered our beverages and took a few minutes to look at the menu. Now I had already narrowed down what I wanted before ever arriving, as I’d checked out the menu online on the Restaurant.com website.

I knew I was starting with the French Onion soup, because even though it was really hot outside and it was the middle of summer I had to have it because it’s one of my favorite soups. Hubby chose the Mini Crabcakes.

For our entrees I decided to go with another favorite of mine – Fettucine Alfredo. It was rich and creamy and had some broccoli served on top of it. It was great just the way it was, it didn’t even need salt or pepper. Hubby had the stuffed flounder, which he said was not too dry and tasted fresh.

Everything looked lovely, they did a great job of plating. The food tasted fresh. The portions were a nice size, substantial enough that neither hubby or I finished our meals. Even though I was stuffed and had leftovers of my dinner I had to check out the dessert menu. When I saw that they had cheesecake I just had to have a slice.

I’d definitely eat again at Bridges Cafe. The food was very good, the environment was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice. If I were in the area I’d actually consider it a great spot for a date night as well. One Restaurant.com gift certificate covered about half of our bill. Some restaurants let you check out and show them your Restaurant.com gift certificate on your phone. Bridges wasn’t set up for that, they needed the printed certificate. It wasn’t a huge deal, they let me use one of the computers in the business center to log into my Restaurant.com account and print it out. So, if you’re planning on using the gift certificates at a restaurant where you haven’t been before it is likely a good idea to bring a printed copy of the certificate just in case.

Looks like a nice place to eat at. It’s basically on the way when we go to our daughter’s home near Camden. We might just stop there next year.

I’ve never heard of the Restaurant.com Review Crew – very cool thing to be a part of. Glad you enjoyed your visit. Sometimes I don’t plan well enough to buy certificates when traveling, but it’s a really good idea. Your french onion soup looked good.

Hershey is one of my favorite places to visit. After eating park food all day, Bridges Cafe looks like a terrific place to go for dinner. Your fettucine looks wonderful and the onion soup looks amazing! Everything looks yummy. Will definitely remember to stop here on my next visit! 🙂

During the actual travel time, most usually it is pack your own, grab and go or drive-through. Once there it is dining out either family style or up-scale for a treat.

The food looks very tasty and I could use a slice of that cheesecake. Nice review.
