Ingredients

  • 1 box puff pastry

  • nonstick “butter” cooking spray
  • 1 egg, beaten (optional for creating an egg wash)
  • icing gel (optional, for creating a sugary icing drizzle)

Instructions

Plug in the air fryer oven.

If you want to use an egg wash to make the turnovers super golden, place an egg into a small bowl and beat it.

Roll the puff pastry out on a non-stick surface. Silpat baking sheets work really well.

Cut the puff pastry into 9 squares.

Place about 1 tablespoon of the blueberry pie filling onto each corner of the squares.

Fold each of the puff pastry squares into a triangle.

Use a fork to seal the edges of the puff pastry squares.

If you decided to use the egg wash, use a silicone brush to brush a light coating onto the uncooked turnover.

Create a small slit in the top of each turnover for venting.

Place the uncooked puff pastry squares onto the air fryer racks.

Lightly spray each of the pastries with nonstick cooking spray.

Set the air fryer oven to cook on 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Once the cooking time has finished, let the cooked turnovers sit in the air fryer oven for 1-2 minutes, which helps prevent them from sticking.

If you’d like to add a little sugary icing drizzle to your turnovers, just use a little icing gel on the top before serving.

Serve & enjoy!
