Pepperoni Garlic Toast Pizza
Pepperoni Garlic Toast Pizza is a marriage of pizza and garlic bread. This combination of foods results in a yummy handheld food that the family will be asking for over and over. That’s right, both adults and children will love it. It works as a meal on a busy weeknight. It also works as a snack for gatherings like family movie night or kids sleepovers. This super simple recipe calls for only 4 ingredients, most or all of which you probably have on hand. Pepperoni Garlic Toast Pizza gets its flavor from the bread, spicy pepperoni and pizza sauce, which means you don’t even need seasonings! Here’s how I make it.
- 1 box frozen garlic toast (I used an 11.25 oz box of frozen Garlic Texas Toast.)
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese OR 8-16 slices mozzarella cheese from the deli
- pepperoni slices (I used about a third of a 6 oz bag of pepperoni slices.)
Preheat the oven to 425 f. (This was the temperature shown on the instructions on the box of garlic toast I used.)
Line a baking sheet with foil or wax paper.
Place the pieces of garlic toast onto the baking sheet.
Bake the garlic toast for 4 minutes.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and turn the garlic toast over.
Return the baking sheet of garlic toast to the oven and bake for another 3 minutes.
Remove the garlic toast from the oven.
Place a generous tablespoon of pizza sauce onto each piece of garlic toast and distribute evenly.
Put the cheese onto the garlic toast. You can either sprinkle as much shredded mozzarella as you like on there or use 1-2 pieces of sliced mozzarella cheese.
Place 3-5 slices of pepperoni on each piece of toast, the amount to use depends on your preference.
Return the tray of garlic toast to the oven one last time and bake for 3 minutes.
Remove from the oven and plate.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
