Pressure Cooker Cheddar Ranch Rice
Cheddar Ranch Rice is an easy and filling side dish that doesn’t take any effort to make by using an electric pressure cooker. It’s got a nice flavor that combines the melty flavor of warm cheese with the zip of ranch. This rice dish pairs well with almost anything. The recipe is naturally gluten-free, provided you check your ingredients. Here’s how I make Pressure Cooker Cheddar Ranch Rice.

- 2 cups long grain white rice
- 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 packet ranch dip mix (Use a half packet for mild ranch flavor or a whole packet for stronger ranch flavor.)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 2 1/2 cups water
Pour the water and olive oil into the pot.
Measure the rice and then rinse it out in the sink using a fine strainer.
Add the rice into the pot and make sure it’s covered by the water.
Set the pressure cooker to cook on manual high pressure for 4 minutes. (Set to cook for only 3 minutes if you like a very firm, al dente texture for your rice.)
Once the cooking cycle has finished, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
Move rice to a mixing bowl.
Add the sour cream, ranch mix and shredded cheese and combine thoroughly.
