Did you see the English Muffin Breakfast Pizzas recipe that I shared the other day? They weren’t the only thing I made with English muffins this week. In fcat, I have been on a bit of an English muffin recipe binge. One of the simplest things I’ve done with them so far is one of my favorites. I made this recipe three nights in a row because it simply made my tummy happy. I love mozzarella cheese. It is one of my favorite cheeses, if not my very favorite. It pairs exceptionally well with tomatoes. It also pairs well with garlic bread. I had a taste for garlic bread the other day but didn’t have the right bread. So I decided to toast an English muffin and put some garlic butter on it. I liked it. I decided to put some tomato on there too, and then melt it. The result is a warm and tasty snack that is super simple yet super satisfying. Here’s how I make them.
Tomato Mozzarella English Muffin Melts

- baking sheet
- aluminum foil
- 1 English muffins, split
- softened butter
- garlic powder
- 2 slices mozzarella cheese
- Italian seasoning
- 2 slices tomato
Preheat the oven to 350 f.
Line the cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
Cut the English muffins in half and lightly toast them in the toaster
Place the toasted muffin halves onto a foil lined cookie sheet.
Place a light coating of butter on each one and then sprinkle a little garlic powder on each one.
Place a slice of tomato on each half of the muffin.
Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each tomato slice.
Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top of the cheese, you can be as generous here as you like.
Bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melty.
Serve and enjoy!
