Meat Lovers Pasta Sauce is a thick and hearty sauce that’s so tasty you’ll think about eating it like soup. Made in an electric pressure cooker, it’s a perfect batch cooking recipe that’s easy to make without heating up the house.
If you read From Val’s Kitchen regularly then I am sure you noticed I have been sharing a lot of electric pressure cooker recipes. So many of them, in fact, that I had to give them their own category. It’s so funny. I was always a bit apprehensive about using a pressure cooker. As it turns out, they aren’t intimidating at all. I’ve grown very comfortable using them and feel that they make awesome food in less time than other cooking methods. I recently learned of a company called Gourmia.
Gourmia know that cooks are looking for dependable, easy-to-use tools that will make their lives easier so they strive to design innovative products that offer quality performance and value.deliver a higher standard of innovation, performance, and value. A number of Gourmia’s small kitchen appliances that have taken up reisdence on my cooking wish list including electric pressure cookers, slow cookers, deep fryers, slicers, air fryers, spiralizers, dicers, dehydrators, juicers, blenders, ice cream makers, and food processors as well as machines dedicated to sous vide, coffee, tea, vacuum sealing, bread, cakes, grilling, pasta, waffles and more. Their line of electric pressure cookers ranges from 4 quart to 12 quart, including the Gourmia GPC1200 that I recently received a sample of.

The Gourmia GPC1200 is a 12 quart electric pressure cooker. The 1600 watt unit allows you to cook dishes up to 70% faster while retaining more flavor and nutrients.
This control panel on this Smart Pot Electric Digital Multifunction Pressure Cooker is fairly simple to use. If you have used any of the popular electric pressure cookers on the market right now you will have no trouble at all using this one. This model has 13 programmable cooking modes including:
- soup
- meat
- poultry
- steam
- sauté
- slow cook
- dessert
- beans
- porridge
- rice
- preset
- 24-hour timer
- warm.
One of the things I love the most about this product, besides its 12 quart size, is the fact that the removable inner liner is nonstick. This makes for a quick and effortless clean up. And another neat feature is the lid. The lid, which locks in place for safety, has a lid rest built right in! The unit has a built in 24 hour delay timer, and an auto resume feature that lets it start back up where it left off in case of a power loss.
The Gourmia GPC1200 comes with a 12 quart stainless steel pot, steam rack, measuring cup, and plastic spoon, as well as a plastic cup that attaches to the unit and collects condensation. The unit has an MSRP of $269.99. You can buy it on sale for $120 on Amazon right now!!!) You can learn more about this product and many others on the Gourmia website. You can also keep up with Gourmia on social media, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
With all of the different modes, this product can cook just about anything! Anyone interested in batch cooking and meal prep, as well as those that entertain or cook for a large family will appreciate this machine. I must admit that I haven’t cooked a typical meal for one night in this particular unit. Since receiving it I have been using it to make large batches of one thing that I can then turn into several meals. My two favorites so far ar my Meat Lovers Pasta Sauce, as well as Mashed Potatoes. I’ll be sharing those recipes with you, along with recipes for some of the dishes I’ve used them in. The first recipe I’m sharing is for a big batch of Meat Lovers Pasta Sauce. Here’s how I made it.

Meat Lovers Pasta Sauce
This recipe makes a really nice amount of sauce. I used it for a pound of regular pasta and a box of gluten-free pasta. I also has 3.5 filled quart jars of it as well. And I may have eaten some of it right out of a bowl after it was finished. So I’d estimate that all in all the recipe as shown below makes about 6 quarts.
Equipment Needed
- Gourmia 12 qt electric pressure cooker
- silicone cooking spoon
- ladle
- knife
- cutting board
- mix chop
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 12 oz cooked ham, cut into small cubes or chunks
- 3 oz pepperoni, cut into small cubes or chunks
- 1/2 cup crumbled bacon
- 2x 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes seasoned with basil, garlic and oregano
- 2x 28 oz cans diced tomatoes seasoned with basil, garlic and oregano
- 2x 6 oz cans tomato paste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 small onion, peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder

Instructions
Place the ground beef and ground sausage into the pressure cooker’s pot.
Set the pressure cooker on saute. Brown the ground beef and the ground sausage. About halfway through cooking the ground beef and the ground sausage, add the diced onion in as well.
While the two meats are cooking, dice the ham and pepperoni.
Once the meat and onions have finished browning, add in the remainder of the ingredients and stir well.
Press the pressure cook time button and set it for 20 minutes.
Once the pressure cooker has finished its cooking cycle, let the pressure release naturally.
Serve over your favorite pasta.
I like to store the leftovers in large quart sized glass jars, so they’re easy to use on another day that week.
I’ve used this sauce on pastas, which I did mention earlier and I’m sure you guessed from the photos. I’ve also used it to make a Meaty Tomato Soup and a tomato mac and cheese.
What would you make first in the Gourmia GPC1200 12 quart electric pressure cooker?

Looks so yummy! I love cooking with my pressure cooker, but mines the old fashioned stove top kind. Other than that, its just my trusty crockpot.
