Easy Oven Roasted Turkey Breast – how did we get here? Our Thanksgiving dinner this year was very small. I have made Thanksgiving dinner for our family for more about 30 years now. The first time I set out to make a turkey I had no idea what to do with it. I started preparations and was in so far over my head that I didn’t know what to do. There was no internet back then. So I did the next best thing. I asked my Dad. I called him at 6am and asked for help. He arrived and helped me make my first turkey. It was a really nice morning. I enjoyed it so much in fact, that I turned it into a ritual. Every year since I have telephoned my Dad at about 6-6:30 am and asked him to come over to help me prepare the turkey. He grumbles, but I think most of that is for show. I feed him sweets and simple enjoy the time with him.
This year was different. My Dad has been away for work for a while. My heart was not up for making a big bird without him here. So, I decided to make an oven roasted turkey breast instead. My Mom proclaimed my Easy Oven Roasted Turkey Breast the moistest turkey we’d ever had. It certainly was easy to make, as it didn’t require all of the prep that a big 20+ pound turkey does. And an extra bonus, this turkey breast is gluten-free, something that cannot be said about the big stuffed bird I usually make.
All of the prep involved with a big turkey is why we really don’t have turkey unless it’s Thanksgiving. This Easy Oven Roasted Turkey was so simple and tasty that I can easily make it at any time of the year. Here’s how I make it.

Once the turkey has finished cooking, let it rest for 20 minutes before serving.
