Tired of the same old pizza? Change things up with this easy-to-make Chipotle Chicken Pizza recipe featuring Amazon Pepper Sauce!
The family enjoys pizza. We don’t get takeout or delivery often as it’s very expensive. I can easily put together a pizza on my own with very little effort and expense. One of the things I like the most about putting my own pizzas together is that they allow me to change things up in any way that I want. My oldest had some friends over the other night. They were all hanging out and naturally they got hungry. I mean, they’re 20-24 year old guys. Getting hungry is what they do! Obviously a fancy meal just isn’t what you want when you’re feeding a bunch of folks relaxing on the back porch. Trying to determine what to make, I decided pizza would be perfect. Everyone was having a good time, and I thought it would be fun to change things up a bit and make more than an ordinary pizza. Chipotle Chicken Pizza it was!
Once in the kithen I took a look at what I had on hand. I knew I had refrigerated pizza dough, since I almost always do. I knew I had lots of cheese. I didn’t have any of your more traditional pizza toppings on hand, such as pepperoni. Hmmmm. I had some cooked chicken, a pepper and an onion. And then an idea hit me. I could make a pizza using the chicken, then add a sort of southwestern feel to it by using the pepper and corn. But regularl tomato sauce didn’t seem like it would be the best fit in my mind. Looking around the kitchen I realized that Amazon Pepper Sauce would be perfect for the pizza I had in mind.
