There are favorite foods frequently seen at parties like this. So, how do you take an existing favorite to another level? Guests invited to the party at Tasting Table Test Kitchen in New York City this past Thursday would learn the answer to that question firsthand. I was invited, but unfortunately was unable to attend. Fortunately, thanks to modern day technology, I can still share the event with you.
JCPenney’s Big Game Bash featured exclusive recipes and entertaining ideas from Actor Jerry O’Connell and Chef Josh Capon for Upgrading Your At-Home Tailgate. The cooking demo with Josh and Jerry featured upgraded game day classics including these tasty items. Kristen Taekman, a Real Housewives of New York City star, was also in attendance.
Philly Cheesesteak. It’s one of the actor’s favorites. Chef Caponi gave it a little upgrade and turned it into a mouthwatering party dish by creating Filet Mignon Cheesesteaks using a Cooks Meat Slicer and a Hamilton Beach Panini Press Gourmet Sandwich Maker.
Chicken. This is a food you can find in all sorts of variations at a party. But, have you ever seen a chicken lollipop? You have now! They’re like wings on the bone but no mess! A little prep work and the Toastmaster 4-liter deep fryer and you’re set!
Green Dragon Shrimp Skewers. After all, just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you can’t grill indoors! You can, using the Cooks Cast Iron Reversible Grill/Griddle.
So why did they partner with JCPenney for this? That’s simple. Imagine you’re walking through a JCPenney store right now. They have everything you need for a big game party (except the groceries). They’ve got the small appliances, cookware, and serveware. They’ve got home decor items, as well as sports apparel for fans of all ages. If you didn’t know this, just check out the JCPenney website and you’ll see! (You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.)
You’ll find each of the recipes mentioned above and more, as well as the tools used to make them, in this online Big Game Tailgating Recipes Magazine. Pressed Cuban Sandwich? Guacamole?Sausage And Peppers Served With Toasted Garlic Bread And Fresh Mozzarella? They’re all in there!
