I love stuffed crust pizza. I make pizza often at home, but have never tried making it with a stuffed crust. I decided it couldn’t be all that hard and gave it a shot. Here’s how I made it.
Stuffed Crust Pizza With Sausage
- 11 oz tin thin pizza crust
- 7 mozzarella sticks
- 4 oz shredded mozzarella
- 1 lb sweet Italian sausage
- 1 cup pizza sauce
Preheat to 425 f.
Brown the sausage.
Place the mozzarella sticks around the edges of the pizza dough, getting as close to the edge as you can.
Fold the dough over the cheese and pinch/press closed.
Place a layer of sauce on the crust.
Place the sausage on the crust.
Place the shredded mozzarella cheese on the crust.
Bake for 12 minutes.
