I had some chicken tenders to cook. I had a big box of bacon and thought it would be tasty to have chicken wrapped in bacon. The dish is super easy to make and amazingly yummy. Here’s how I made it.
BBQ Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 lbs chicken tenders (about 18 chicken tenders)
- 1x 18oz bottle BBQ sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray’s)
- 1.5 lbs bacon (about 18 slices)
- 4 oz shredded Cheddar Jack cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Cover the chicken in the BBQ sauce and marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes.
About halfway through that time, preheat oven to 375 f.
Remove chicken from the marinade one piece at a time, letting excess sauce drip off and back into the pan. Do not dispose of the extra sauce.
Wrap each chicken tender with a piece of bacon and place into greased casserole dish.
Pour remaining leftover sauce over the chicken.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese liberally over the chicken.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Serve immediately. This paired exceptionally well with my BBQ Bacon Mac And Cheese.

Did the sauce overpower the bacon?

This sounds so good. Would never have thought of wrapping chicken in bacon. Yummy. My family seems to really enjoy the breaded chicken cutlets I make. one of the few things I still make that my mom taught me.

Those look mouth watering. My favorite is fried chicken fingers.
