We absolutely love this one! It’s so yummy, and perfect on a cold winter day.
- 12 small potatoes
- 2 lb Italian Sweet Sausage (I use Johnsonville Sweet Italian Sausage for this
- 1x 28 oz can diced tomatoes
- 1x 6 o can tomato paste
- 1x packet onion soup mix
- 3 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Peel & cube the potatoes.
Put potatoes in crock.
Place sausage in large pan, covering halfway with water.
Cook for about 15 minutes, until brown.
Remove sausage from juice, leave the juice in the pan.
Cut sausage into slices.
Place the sauage on top of potatoes.
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, onion soup mix, water, salt and seasonings to the juice in the pan.
Heat for about 5 minutes, stirring.
Pour that over the sausage and potatoes.
Cook on low for 6 hours.
