I felt like concocting again. After being pleased with making a dish incorporating hash browns I thought it would be interested to try and come up with a dish using hash brown patties. I had a sort of hash brown lasagna thing in mind. It didn’t turn out exactly that way but it worked anyway. They don’t look exceptionally pretty but they’re tasty and filling and very easy to make.
- 6 frozen hash brown patties
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can green beans
- 2-4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Form patties out of your ground beef that are approximately the same size as your hash brown patties. Season them as you would any hamburger, if you do that. Brown those.
While your beef patties are browning lay your hash brown patties down in a lightly greased shallow pan.
Place green beans on top of each hash brown patty.
Place the cooked beef patties on top of the green beans.
Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of each patty.
Bake according to the instructions on the hash brown package.
Serve hot, with salt and pepper to taste.
Remember, your seasoning comes from your ground beef patties and your cheese. We used garlic and onion when forming our patties.
