One of the things we love in our house is ice cream. Not a week goes by that I don’t have to buy it at the grocery store. We all have our different favorites, of course. Since surgery I try to be more mindful of what it is I’m eating, and often choose lower fat or lower calorie options over regular ones. Breyers is one of our favorite brands of ice cream. I’d seen the Breyers Smooth & Dreamy product line recently but hadn’t purchased it.
I’d been planning on buying some sort of ice cream for myself and had received coupons to try Smooth & Dreamy. As mentioned, I’d seen Smooth & Dreamy but had never really looked at it. I was surprised at what a wide variety was available in the Smooth & Dreamy line. Bars and sandwiches, 1/2 fat, fat free and no sugar added, each with many yummy sounding flavors. Breyers products were on a great sale that week. I like to stock the freezer with ice cream when I find a good sale and there were so many varieties that just looked good. Hoping everything tasted as good as it looked, I used some of my coupons and bought some more at the sale price, bringing home five packages – Triple Chocolate Chip Bar, Vanilla Fudge Brownie Sandwich, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sandwich, 1/2 Fat Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Fat Free Chocolate Cookies And Cream.
The Triple Chocolate Chip Bar is my new favorite ice cream bar. It’s so yummy, creamy chocolate with a hard chocolate shell on the outside. (I admit I had one in the car before I even got home.) And it’s only 130 calories! No guilt!
My favorite flavor of ice cream is a much tougher choice. There are so many I couldn’t decide. I could have a different flavor for any craving I might happen to have. Right now it’s the Chocolate Cookies And Cream. It reminds me of something that Haagen Dazs used to make called Midnight Cookies And Cream – it’s just as tasty but it isn’t nearly as fattening! With the ice creams averaging about 160 calorie or less per serving, 4-6 grams of fat and containing no artificial flavors or colors it’s a calorie counter’s dream!
Wondering what the rest of my favorites are? Take a look.
THREE WINNERS will each receive a coupon for Breyers Smooth & Dreamy Ice Cream.
