Ketchup. Catsup. No matter how you pronounce it chances are good that you have some in your house, especially if you have children. Ketchup is just one of those foods that many people love. We always have it in our house, it’s almost like a little food group of it’s own. You can use it to put on things and to dip things in. I’ve even used it in recipes. You just have to love a food that can do so many things while containing only natural ingredients. Hunt’s has reformulated their ketchup and removed the high fructose corn syrup, an ingredient that some experts feel contributes to obesity.
Hunt’s Tomato Ketchup recently announced that it now contains only five ingredients – tomatoes, sugar, vinegar, salt and other seasonings. That’s right folks, no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Worried your kids won’t like it? Don’t. Your kids won’t know that the high fructose corn syrup is gone because the ketchup tastes the same. I tried the new formula and found that it’s still got the same semi-sweet and tangy taste that it’s always had. You won’t even see a difference at the cash register, because the price remained the same too. You can just be happy that you’re serving something a little healthier. That’s a nice little simple victory, isn’t it?
In honor of this announcement Hunt’s recently kicked off the Hunt’s High Five Photo Fun Sweepstakes. The prize is a family vacation, value to $5,000. To enter go to facebook.com/hunts and submit a photo of you and your family achieving a “simple victory”. Easy enough, right? A vacation would be a great way to celebrate a little victory, wouldn’t it? I’m going to enter, I hope you do too. Good luck!
