I grabbed this pizza in Walmart the other day because the toppings intrigued me. It’s a Great Value Focaccia Crust Three Meat Pizza.
The three meats on this pizza are Italian Sausage, Applewood Smoked Bacon and Pepperoni. Inside the box, the pizza is wrapped in plastic.
The directions for this pizza said to bake the pizza on the center oven rack for 22 to 24 minutes for a crisp crust and 25 to 27 minutes for a soft crust. I wanted the soft because it’s a very bready crust to begin with.
I removed it at 25 minutes and it was just right. The taste of the three meats combined was good. I think the toppings could stand a little improvement. The pizza definitely needed a lot more pepperoni, and a little more bacon and sausage too. I also think the sausage should’nt have been crumbled so small while the pepperoni was sliced and the Italian Sausage was in chunky pieces. The crust was tasty while hot/warm. Not so much when it got cold, it became very heavy the taste changed completely. RB found it too bready. In the end, I probably won’t get this pizza again.
