While in Walmart I decided to pick up one of their frozen Great Value Rising Crust Pepperoni Pizzas to try. Inside the box, the pizza is wrapped in plastic.
To make this pie all I had to do was preheat the oven to 400 F. The directions said to bake the pizza on the center oven rack for 23 to 26 minutes for a crisp crust and 25 to 28 minutes for a soft crust. We like softer crust. I removed it at 24 minutes and the crust was absolutely perfect. the crust was soft and the cheese bubbly. TJ and I thought the pizza had a decent amount of pepperoni. It’s so disappointing to get a pizza with almost no pepperoni, isn’t it?
The Great Value rising Crust Pepperoni Pizza cost me $4.50 at my local Walmart. One 28.3 ounce pie serves 6. Each serving contains 12 grams of protein, 300 calories, 15 mg cholesterol, 42 grams total carbs and 760 mg sodium. We were pleased with the pizza and I’ll buy it again. I think it’d be great if they added more varieties to the rising crust line.
To let you know, as I was typing this review TJ decided to have another piece, this time cold. He informed me that when it was cold it reminded him of Pizza Hut pizza.
