valmgs Quick And Easy Cheesy Chicken Pierogis Recipe

It’s rainy and chilly here on the Jersey shore. It’s getting yuckier pretty much by the minute, what with Hurricane Sandy heading our way. I wanted to make a hot meal but wanted it to be quick. my 16 year old son was in the mood for pierogis. This is what I threw together. It doesn’t look too pretty (it might look better with a green vegetable in it), but it’s filling and tasted good, plus it was quick and easy to make.
INGREDIENTS
- 2x 13 oz bag frozen Pierogis
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 9 oz chicken breast, cut into chunks (I used 1x 9 oz box Perdue ShortCuts)
- garlic powder and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Boil pierogis.
Drain and place in large bowl. (Or if you’re really in a hurry use the pot you boiled the pierogis in.)
Add in softened butter and cream cheese, stirring well.
Add in shredded cheese, stirring well.

Add in chicken, stirring well.

Add garlic powder and pepper to taste.
Serve immediately.
