The World’s Largest Fritos Chili Pie for a Great Cause

Have you ever had Fritos Chili Pie? In celebration of Fritos 80th anniversary, Fritos will set out to achieve a world record for the biggest-ever Fritos Chili Pie – a mixture of Fritos corn chips, chili and cheddar cheese.
The Guinness World Records® title attempt will take place on October 1 at the State Fair of Texas, the biggest fair in the U.S. Fans across America can also join in the 80th anniversary celebration by helping support our troops through Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).
From September 16 through October 13, you can look for special displays at local retailers featuring a $1-off coupon for combined purchase of Fritos® corn chips and Hormel® Chili. For every coupon redeemed, Fritos and Hormel Foods will donate $1 to WWP, up to $100,000, to honor and empower wounded warriors in the U.S. Armed Forces. A deliciously good deal for a great cause.
Fritos Chili Pie Recipe

Description
Passed down from generation to generation, an instant classic!
Ingredients
1 large bag of FRITOS® Corn Chips
1 15 oz. can of chili with beef (with or without beans)
1 8 oz. bag of shredded cheese
Optional: chopped onion, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos and/or sour cream
Instructions
In an oven-safe serving dish, pour in FRITOS® Corn Chips and spread evenly. Heat chili and pour evenly over corn chips. Add additional ingredients like onion, tomato, lettuce, and jalapeno as desired. Sprinkle cheese all over and pop into the oven at 350 degrees till the cheese is a little melted. Serve immediately with a spoon.
Other variations:
There are many variations of the FRITOS CHILI PIE®. For instance, the Walking Taco uses the same ingredients as the FRITOS CHILI PIE®. However, as a fun and easy snack (usually served at fairs or sports events), the ingredients are mixed together in the bag of FRITOS® Corn Chips instead of a dish. Don’t forget the spoon!
