The recipes in Complete Cake Mix Magic are all simple and easy to understand. They call for ordinary ingredients available in most kitchens and grocery stores. There aren’t many photos in the book but the ones that are in there are great. I like that the each chapter has an index listing all of the recipes within that chapter. What would make it more helpful is if cooking and prep time were included in the recipes. This would be a good book for anyone that is just starting out at baking, wants to save time by using boxed ingredients, or just wants to try liven up the cakes they already make.
